Our History Trillo’s of Whitby have been making ice cream in their Whitby factory for over a century.  The Trillo’s family originally moved to Whitby from Italy bringing their ice cream recipes with them.  In 2005 local farmer David Stevenson and his business partner Basil bought the company.  They decided to keep the Trillo’s name due to its local Whitby heritage and also continue to make ice cream in the small Whitby factory.  Passionate about British farming they source fresh local milk and cream from North Yorkshire farms to produce their luxury, award winning ice cream.  Trillo’s also employs local people some of which have worked in the company for many years.  Our experienced and talented team have carefully perfected our recipe over the years which has resulted in our ice cream winning national awards.  We are extremely proud of our local heritage and the ice cream we produce; we hope you enjoy it too!
